    Area Of A Triangle Using Sine

    The formula is Area Of A Triangle Using Sine

    Area of triangle = 1/2ab sin C

    Area of triangle = 1/2bc sin A

    Area of triangle = 1/2ac sin B

    Example

     Find the area of this triangle

    • Given

     Angle C = 25º, and sides a = 7 and b = 10.

    Start with:                     Area = ½ab sin C

    • Calculation

    Put in the values as given            Area = ½ × 7 × 10 × sin(25º)

                                                                                        sin(25º) = 0.4226 (from log value)

                            Area = 35 × 0.4226...

     Answer:                       Area = 14.8
