Pythagoras’ Theorem, or the Pythagorean, is an ancient idea. It started with the Egyptians and other ancient civilisations around 4,000, and was later proved to be always certainly true by the Greeks, 2,500 years ago.

For any right-angled triangle… *any* right-angled triangle, it tells us how to find the length of one side, provided we know the length of the other two sides.

That’s pretty incredible when you think about it.
